Physiology of Chemosensation

We are interested in how chemosensation is processed at the periphery and in the central nervous system. We combine molecular, cellular, and systems physiology to tackle this.

Physiology of CALHM Ion Channels

Calcium homeostasis modulator (CALHM) channels mediate various physiological processes, particularly neurotransmission in epithelial-neuron interactions. We use electrophysiological, optical, and systems approaches to investigate how these channels exert their functions throughout the body.
